Since I was happy with the results of the pattern from the grasses in the deer photo, I thought I’d look through my shots for other soft / floaty subjects to “patternize.” I came across these dramatic clouds & knew I had to give them a try. In case you are interested, the clouds featured in this pattern were from images shot the same day as this photo. I did manipulate the colors a bit (I know - obvious). I felt it was necessary since I was imagining this printed on a throw pillow that gets tossed onto a luxurious dark grey sofa (velvet or mohair of course).
I feel I should fess-up to taking 2 days away from pattern making. I promise to make up my late homework this week! As it turns out, throwing a tea party for 100 people is a wee bit time consuming. It was all worth it though. Gram had flowers to wear in her hair, a giant wall of photos for guests to peruse, tons of tulips (her favorite), porcelain tea pots & tea cups for everyone, & more tea & finger sandwiches than 100 people could ever hope to consume. Her gift was a beautiful wooden box (handmade by my Gramp), that was filled to the brim with letters of love from family & friends. There were so many letters, we had to put out an extra basket! Yes, we are a bunch of saps - very very tired saps.
