Ah summer! I took this photo last year here in Seattle. I was standing directly under the tree looking up into a bright & sunny sky. Although I only stopped long enough to snap this photo, I can't help but think of laying on a blanket in the grass without a care in the world. I try to take time to do just that at least a couple of times every summer. I gather up some snacks, a book or magazine, slather on the sunscreen, & park myself under a tree. It's funny how just a short time staring up at the leaves can give you perspective & evaporate your worries. I hope the pattern maintains that blissful summery feeling, even though there is more visual information to take in. I think it would perfectly suit an outdoor pillow on a richly oiled (likely handmade) Adirondack chair that is perched on a deck overlooking a sparkling lake.
In case you are curious ( I know I would be), here's the original photo. Feel free to imagine yourself lazing in the sun, listening to the rustling leaves.
